Today was Charlie's worst day teething yet. He had the fever, runny nose, drooling like mad, and crabby as ever symptoms. You obviously can tell by this picture how he is feeling. Poor little guy. I gave him some baby Tylenol which i think helped. He hasn't been cranky ALL day, thankfully!
As i have been holding him more than an average day i just couldn't help but have a little smile on my face. He's teething. It's not the end of the world. In fact, its really just the beginning. Once those teeth get here the food possibilities are almost endless! So hold on Charlie, something great is waiting for you just around the corner. Too bad he doesn't know that.
I don't know why, but it seems my mind likes to relate these situations to my own life. I get hurt too. And i complain and whine about it. I imagine my Heavenly Father with a little smile on his face thinking, Hold on Blaire, something great is around the corner. It's not the end of the world. It's actually just the beginning. That gives me comfort and hope. It helps me endure even when it's hard. It helps me to try to focus on the bright side rather than wallowing in my misery. I love that these situations with Charlie teach me lessons about myself. Thanks buddy, i love you! Hang in there!
Blaire you seriously are the sweetest person ever! I love how you always find the good in every situation. You truly are such a great example and I feel lucky to have known you and to have you as a friend.
