From Thanksgiving to December 6th my life was stressed to the maximum level.
Andy and I were asked to plan the ward party. Two other couples were on the committee.
I don't know if the bishopric realizes when they make these assignments but when they call a "couple" it ends up just being the women. So there were three of us.
The ladies i worked with were amazing!
Because i was out of town for the 2 weeks before the party
they were really the ones who made the party happen.
I put the mind work into it and made the assignments.
They did the rest. I couldn't be more grateful to them.
One of the ladies suggested the Bethlehem theme and so i searched pinterest, and lo, and behold,
2 wards who had already done it came up. We pretty much followed their game plans.
The whole gym was decorated with tent markets full of food.
We had a set on the stage for our live nativity.
We sang carols throughout.
Oh, and people were given coins on the way in to buy their food.
It turned out to be a really nice evening.
All the planning and work paid off.
Everyone had a great time.
And now i am just happy its over.
I learned from this assignment i don't like being in charge.
I don't like delegating and putting responsibilities on everyone.
They are busy enough right?
I did it cause i had to. Crossing my fingers i never have to do this again.
