I have to say, I love being a mom of two. I have felt more balance and more purpose! These first two weeks with Olive has been a bit of an adjustment but its been a sweet time. Charlie absolutely adores her. This picture does not lie! He is constantly caressing her face, giving her kisses, and running to her aide when crying. He'll often tell me "NO" meaning, stay. He likes going to her on his own to help. He does struggle at times when i am nursing. He wants help or attention and i tell him he just has to wait. Its a hard lesson for a little boy to learn.
These photo's were just taken days ago by Lindsay Miller. She is an aspiring photographer. She has been offering free photo sessions to build her portfolio. We were her first newborn session. Olive was cooperative the first part and not so much at the end. She did get some really sweet shots of both her and Charlie.
I love being a mom. I love seeing Charlie as a big brother. I love our miss Olive. And I love my dear husband who provides and supports our family. Life is grand but life has challenges, i think that's why it is so grand because we grow through those challenges.
