Charlie is 16 going on 17 months. It reminded me of the song i used to sing constantly when i was 16 years old, "i am 16 going on 17, i know that i'm naive" from The Sound of Music. I am so grateful for this growing boy and wanted to share some of my new favorites!
We have taught Charlie baby sign and he has picked it up quite nicely. I am so glad that there is some way for me to understand him. Things like: more, thank you, please, milk, all done, and my all time favorite NAP. Today as Charlie's nap was approaching he told me with his sign for nap, which is resting his head on his hand, he was ready for his nap! I was taken away by this. I went to the crib and put him down for his nap and he happily snuggled up. I am so grateful he likes to sleep and is a good sleeper. If you would have told me this a year ago i wouldn't have believed it!
Charlie and I are also very grateful for SPRING and SUNSHINE! Our days are much more enjoyable out in the fresh air. I have been taking Charlie to the park near our house and he loves it! He especially loves the slide. It took some coaxing and help on my side but he now does it all on his own like a little expert.
We are also both looking forward to nursery and in just 6 weeks he will be admitted :) I took him last week cause the halls of the church were getting pretty boring. I sat in there with him and he was so happy to be with other kids playing with toys. I think he is totally ready for the move and Andy and I are both ready to enjoy our Sunday classes again. We will all benefit! So that's that. Life is wonderful.
