Watching Charlie Grow Old

I have lots of dreams. Crazy dreams. Dreams that seem like nonsense. My mom encourages me to write these dreams down. She says maybe someday they will have meaning. I don't know if they will. But i figured i should write this one down. It seemed to have more meaning than any other dreams I've had. So here it goes:

I was at a family party. I had put Charlie down for a nap but he wouldn't sleep. I went back in to check on him and his hair had come in full and was a beautiful dirty blonde color. I picked him up and went to the living room to visit with the others and Charlie started talking in full sentences. I was in shock! I went to go get something and when i returned i saw a tall, hunched over teenager. I could barely recognize him. I knew it was Charlie and again i thought, how is he growing up so fast? Charlie walked into another room and i followed. There was my son, fully grown. He was taller than Andy, had a full head of brown hair. He had been working on computers and i could tell he was a wiz with them. I asked Charlie with my voice full of emotion, "How could you do this to me? Why did you grow up so fast?" I felt like i didn't even know this boy at all. He had the same emotion and responded, although i don't remember his response. He was sweet and kind to me.

Someone once told me, enjoy every moment of your life because you can't go back and repeat them. I really hope to cherish every moment with my children. I hope to really know them, better than anyone else. I hope they will trust me and feel that they can tell me anything. This dream was a bit scary to me...but i don't think for a second that its the future. Maybe a warning. But i won't let it happen :)
