My heroines...

These are my two, most recent, favorite books.I found Ella Enchanted sitting on the book shelf here at the Watanabe's, and knowing the movie, thought it would be fun to read the story. I was much more in love with the book than the movie. The book is full of so much more goodness and bravery. And i didn't realize until the end that its a Cinderella story, with a twist. I found myself reading late into the night, it was so captivating!

I started reading, The Goose Girl, thanks to my mother-in-law, who brought me the book and said it was a good read. Ani, the main character, is a princess living in her mothers shadow. In the beginning of the book, she doesn't know who she is. I love watching her take her journey and seeing her become an incredible and brave woman.

So much more could be said, but i would rather be brief and let you read for yourself.
These two girls, Ella and Ani, are my heroines! If you need a good read, these two books are it!

  1. I love both these books. Ella Enchanted has long been a favorite and I wanted to die when I saw that movie because the book would make a really great movie - too bad they didn't follow through. ;) I also recently read Princesses of the Midnight Ball which is about the Twelve Dancing Princesses fairy tale - you might like that too if you like these.
