We took a hike to Cecret Lake on June 30. It was Charlie's 8 month birthday. It was a perfect 70 degree day up in the mountains. Cecret Lake is a 1 mile hike up in Albion Basin which is up Little Cottonwood Canyon. It is perfect for young families. I highly recommend it. We had a great time and it was beautiful. What i find so refreshing about it, is getting away from the busyness of life. I was able to relax and enjoy the fresh air. I was able to look at God's amazing creations and be grateful. When i hike i often am focusing so much on where my feet are stepping i forget to stop and look up at the seneary around me. But when i do i am amazed where i am! So in life when i am focusing on my tasks, chores, to-do lists, activities, etc. I need to remember to stop and look at the beautiful things that surround me like family, friends, nature, and God's love, it's really in everything around us.
