Its been YEARS since i have been to the Bountiful Parade! I guess we went when we were kids. Brook was trying to reminisce with me but i honestly don't have any memories of going to this parade. i love parades, so i am glad we went. We enjoyed the day watching the kids play on rides and eating snow cones. Brook staked out our spot at 11 am. It was crazy because people had already lined their chairs the day before. The side of the streets were jam packed. We still got a pretty decent spot.
I love summer days! The weather was a bit warmer and more humid than preferred but that doesn't ruin it for me. I love being outside, relaxing, munching, talking, and laughing with my family and friends!
Andrew stubbed his toe :(
Here they come!
The highlight of the parade was the marching 2000 stripling warriors. One of the most amazing stories in the Book of Mormon. (Alma 57:19-27) It was incredible to see this story in a real perspective. 2000 young men is a lot. They fought in battle against experienced warriors. Not one of those boys was killed! I think, what faith they had to go fight for their families. And in the scriptures it said these boys didn't doubt because their mothers had taught them. What a good message. I hope i can be a good mother like the mothers of these courageous boys.
