We have been visiting my grandma and grandpa a lot more these days. I love my grandparents. It's nice to live close so we can visit more. As they have been getting older they have been doing less and less. They were always hardworking people. Grandpa would wake up before the sun was out and go to work in his gardens and the yard. Grandma was always busy cooking and canning. My grandma said its weird because her spirit still feels young. She feels like she could do the things she use to, but alas, she can not. So to say the least, they have been a bit down these days.
Charlie has really lifted their spirits. I have never seen my grandpa so playful with a child. Grandpa was making Charlie laugh and smile and in return i could tell grandpa was feeling a great amount of joy too. Families are a great blessings! God has sent us here in families so that we can help one another. I am so grateful for my family. I am grateful for the examples of my grandparents. I am grateful for the time i have been able to spend with them. I am grateful that Charlie has the chance to get to know them too! I am SO grateful to know that i will see my grandparents again after they pass from this life. I am grateful we will all be able to live together again!
