Andy's Invention

Putting a baby to sleep isn't easy. Many attempts are made; the crib, a rocker, the baby carrier, bouncing on a ball, the rocking chair, a blow dryer, a vacuum, etc. One night you think you have figured it out and the next night you have to find a new technique. After a while you really start to feel desperate. Well... this creation of Andy's has worked the last few days. It's Charlie's own original, personally made, swing.
At the top of our closet door is a pull up bar, two of Andy's climbing ropes and carabiner's, attached to them is Charlie's car seat. The final touch is the sleep sheep above him, which plays white noise. We put Charlie in there when he is sleep and voila he falls asleep, it works for now anyway.
So i was laying in bed trying to fall asleep, thinking about this contraption Andy put together. My mind continued to wander to my pintrest account and what recipe i would make next, what craft i would work on tomorrow, what i would pack for my trip this weekend with my sisters and mom, what would Andy do while i am gone, how will Charlie do away from home and his routine, etc. You know those nights where it feels like you can't shut off your brain, i was having one of those nights. Then i thought, "how nice would it be if i had someone to swing me to sleep?"

  1. I can't tell you how many nights were spent "experimenting" with what would SHUT THAT BABY UP ALREADY....I mean....put them to sleep. Of course. Why didn't they have sleep sheep back then??
