My joy is full!

I love General Conference! I am so grateful to live in a time where the fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is on the earth. God speaks to prophets and apostles just like in ancient times. I speak to God through prayer and he answers me in so many ways. One way he answers is through the words of Prophets.

I prepared for conference and had thoughts and questions on my mind. But Elder Bednar spoke about family history. Not something i thought i would particularly gain much from. I've tried doing it before and never had success. I had given up. But when he spoke I felt I should give it another chance. They have a new program to help the youth be involved. I thought "If its easy enough for teenagers, I can do it too".

I tried the first day, and didn't get anywhere. I didn't want to give up that easily. I tried again and I was amazed when I found my first name! Hans Oulfsen was born in 1650! He needs his endowment to be done. I was feeling guided and inspired! Then I found my 5th great grandma Margaret Sinclair who was born in Scotland in the 1700's. She has never been baptized and confirmed nor received any other temple ordinances! Now I have the chance to do this work for her in the temple.

The worth of a soul is great in the sight of God! He loves us, wants us to have joy, and has provided a way for us to be happy now and forever. Our families are meant to be together forever! I am grateful for the temple. I am grateful for the promises I have made with God there. I am SO grateful I can give my ancestors, who didn't have these things available to them, the opportunity to make these same covenants with God.

I feel so much joy being a part of this great work!
